University Warns Against Using “Big Space” Storage Company
The University’s Facebook post regarding a staff assault has caused much discussion and debate.
The University’s Student Union is a body responsible for planning events, coordinating committees and keeping a watchful eye on the students. Their Facebook post last week was one aimed at keeping students safe.
The post briefly mentioned an alleged assault last spring on a member of staff at the Big Space storage company. Within the statement, the Students’ Association urge students to not use their services, stating that they had taken action to “prohibit representatives of this company from accessing all University property and buildings.”

The same statement was issued in their weekly emails.
The university has not made any other statements about the attack, choosing instead to focus on the Big Space storage company and their ‘representatives’ instead of the event that took place.
The Big Space have not commented on the alleged attack. It is also apparent that their promotion of winter storage, trough social media, has not been as forward as previous years. Their website, however, continues to mention university properties such as halls of residence, as potential sites of pick up.

The Big Space storage company has been open in St Andrews since 2003, after they, “spotted a gap in the market for a professional, online, fully insured storage service for the students who attend the university.” Over 10 years of service suggests that they have been successful, with happy clients who keep their business running. Some students have indeed not had any problems with their service saying that were “happy” with the company.
On the other hand, the university is not the only one who has rebuffed Big Space storage, Google reviews of the company say that it is, “possibly the worst storage company in the world,” reasoning that the prices are way too high and the delivery of their belongings was inefficient and unhelpful.

While there are other storage facilities in St Andrews, 9-month leases and so many international students provide a high demand for summer storage space. Additionally, with the natural turnover of students in a university, incoming students may be susceptible to unknowingly work with a company that has had a negative reputation in the past.
While the quality of the Big Storage Space’s business may indeed be very good, the fact that an assault on a member of university staff occurred at one of their storage spaces has led the University to warn students against using their services. This warning, the University hopes, will help keep students safe in the Bubble.

My developer is trying to convince me to move to .net from PHP. I have always disliked the idea because of the expenses. But he’s tryiong none the less. I’ve been using Movable-type on several websites for about a year and am worried about switching to another platform. I have heard very good things about blogengine.net. Is there a way I can import all my wordpress content into it? Any help would be really appreciated!|
