Later sunsets, exam stress and May Ball. All essential elements of a classic St. Andrews spring.
No social calendar could be complete without attendance at the Kate Kennedy Club’s famed spring event. Just as they ring in the new school year annually with Opening Ball, May Ball is the traditional end to the social school year.
From Felix Jaehn to Redlight, May Ball is known for bringing some of the world’s biggest talents right here to our little seaside town – with this year, of course, not being any exception. Kinkell Byre will welcome Lost Frequencies – of “Are You With Me” and “Reality” fame who will break it down for us from 10:45 to midnight.
Some events pointless stratify their guests, with VIP tickets and standard tickets having no real division other than their price-tags. As with Polo, it is well known that this is not the case with May Ball. £78 gets you priority arrival, a champagne reception and access to a private marquee (with private VIP smokers section). This marquee is clear, with lounge areas and dining areas allowing guests to dance the night away practically under the stars (actual stars and tasteful fairy lights).
This VIP marquee will include complimentary sweets, a private bar and dance floor as well as sets by BPM, Zaf and a very special club surprise.
One need not pay for VIP in order to have an excellent night however. All guests will have unlimited access to three fairground rides as well as drinks at two bars from very reasonable prices. Whether this is your first May Ball or your last, one cannot overstate the value of one last black tie boogie before the summer break.
The event is May 5th and you can get tickets here.
