Top 5 Things to Do This Week
Revision is coming, but so is Christmas Ball.
1. The Other Guys: Under the Mistletoe
TOG returns with a classic Christmas concert. Visit the All Saints Episcopal Church this evening for an event filled with the holiday spirit (and probably a verse of “St Andrews Girls”).
2. Retention
On Saturday, the Art Society will present their memory-themed exhibition – featuring a glass or two of mulled wine for early arrivals. Guests can expect “glow sticks, visual tricks and cosy-creative vibes.”
3. Amuse-Bouche
The St Andrews Fine Wine & Cheese Society will give us something to be thankful for on Thursday evening – namely, copious amounts of wine and cheese. The much-anticipated return will act as a suitable pre-drinks before heading to town for Thanksgiving-related fun.
4. The St Andrews Day Ceilidh
Organised by the Fellowship of St Andrews, the annual ceilidh will take place on Market Street after the town’s Christmas light switch-on. Wear sensible shoes in preparation of some spirited dancing.
5. The Mermaids Christmas Ball
The final large-scale event of the year, Christmas Ball will surely end the semester on a high note before revision sets in. The theme this year being a Christmas-Halloween fusion, we can surely expect a healthy serving of candy on the night.
