It’s the one Freshers’ Week event that you’ll be attending every year. Presented by the St Andrews Charity Fashion Show, Starfields has already garnered significant interest; early bird tickets sold out in just over thirty minutes. This longstanding popularity can be attributed to Starfields’ legacy as St Andrews’ biggest music festival, drawing names such as Klingande and Cheat Codes to Lower College Lawn.
This year, Route 94 has been announced as the first act. Known for his international single “My Love,” the British remixer will easily attract a crowd in his own right. Based on previous years, we can expect even larger act announcements to follow.
As the launch event for FS, Starfields aims to raise money and awareness for this year’s charitable partner, the Anna Freud National Centre for Children and Families. Similar to previous charitable partner SANE, Anna Freud works to support those with mental illness – particularly children. It provides support, care, and information to all those affected, including family and carers.
Considering how quickly early bird tickets sold out, potential guests ought to keep an eye out for sunday’s general release. Tickets can be purchased exclusively through FIXR on Sunday 27 August. The event itself will take place from 4 pm to 10 pm on Saturday 16 September, promising an unforgettable climax to Freshers’ Week 2017.
