Older students will remember PIMM’S, the Lumsden Club’s annual celebration of all things red and fizzy. Following last year’s successful relaunch, the Lumsden ladies are primed for the latest instalment in the Pimms series. As with last year, the event promises excellent music and plenty of Pimms.
Billed by the Club as a final farewell to summer, PIMMS Refilled will feature free Pimms refills for every guest, best put to use during a game of Pimms Pong. As the cheap alcohol flows, guests can dance to the musical stylings of DJ Untitled, known for his work with nightlife brand TEA. There is no strict dress code; however, guests are encouraged to don their most summery clothes – from sundresses to Hawaiian shirts. With the official end of summer near, we ought to take this opportunity for a final tropical evening.
The Lumsden Club takes its name from Louisa Lumsden, a prominent woman in the history of St Andrews. In her honour, the Club supports women’s and children’s charities both at home and abroad, with proceeds from this year’s events going to local non-profit Fife Women’s Aid.
£12 Early Bird tickets have sold out, with £13 Standard tickets going on sale Wednesday 13 September. The event will be held on Thursday 21 September at The Rule.
