The Most Dangerous Musical Hits the Streets of St Andrews

Sweeney Todd Flashmob

The rain did little to dampen the spirits of the cast of Sweeney Todd, who performed in a flash mob today in Church Square. They sang a fabulous rendition of the show’s opening number to many passers-by, many of which were open day visitors and seemed intrigued by a group of students singing outside Pizza Express.

The bells of the church rung out just as they started to sing, which only added to the stormy and somewhat ominous atmosphere. Throughout the song the audience enjoyed multiple solos, showcasing the strength and range of the cast in what is sure to be an unmissable production. Catch Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street at the Byre Theatre, April 8th-10th at 7:30pm, as part of the 2018 On the Rocks Arts Festival. Tickets are £8 and can be found here: https://byretheatre.com/events/otr18-sweeney-todd-16/
