The rain did little to dampen the spirits of the cast of Sweeney Todd, who performed in a flash mob today in Church Square. They sang a fabulous rendition of the show’s opening number to many passers-by, many of which were open day visitors and seemed intrigued by a group of students singing outside Pizza Express.
The bells of the church rung out just as they started to sing, which only added to the stormy and somewhat ominous atmosphere. Throughout the song the audience enjoyed multiple solos, showcasing the strength and range of the cast in what is sure to be an unmissable production.
