December 1st is fast approaching and for those readers lucky enough to have snatched up a ticket to this year’s Mermaids Christmas Ball, we know you want to look your best. Keep reading to find out how to give your personal touch to floor length and festive. 

Christmas Film Classic

For a classic look for any Christmas ball, satin gowns with simple, structured bodices and A-line or mermaid cut skirts are the picture of elegance. This silhouette in ruby red or gold pairs perfectly with black patent leather pumps and pearl earrings with gold detailing. Style your hair in soft curls and match red lipstick to a red dress or a wear a nude lip with the gold.

Tasteful Tinsel

While a simple and classic gown might be perfect for the minimalist, others might prefer to go for something more overstated. Take inspiration from the Christmas lights display on Market Street and opt for eye-catching sequins and sparkles. Silver strappy heels and long thread-through earrings will match the tinsel on the Christmas tree and make for a bolder take on the Christmas theme.

Standout Suits

Dresses are far from the requirement for any ball, so why not stand out in a suit? A loosely fitting velvet pantsuit in emerald green like the one above would be unique but understated, appropriate to theme and maybe even warm enough to keep you out of coatroom queues.

Alternatively, a brocade suit with gold print makes more of a statement. If the pants taper in at the bottom, pair the suit with black strappy heels, but if they are cropped, dress shoes are probably a better fit and have a more laidback look. Pair a pantsuit with a half up half down hairstyle, hoop earrings, nude lipstick.

  42. Thanks for your post on this blog site. From my very own experience, occasionally softening way up a photograph may possibly provide the photographer with an amount of an inspired flare. Oftentimes however, that soft clouds isn’t exactly what you had in your mind and can quite often spoil an otherwise good picture, especially if you thinking about enlarging the item.
