FS keeps its crown

In St Andrews, February is synonymous with fashion. To kick of the season, FS proved, once again, to be one of the best nights in the Bubble. The evening promised what was sure to be a show to remember and night that no one could forget.

As philanthropic as ever, with over £380,000 raised for charity over the years, FS continued its legacy of giving in a big way. This year, FS has chosen to support the charity It’s Good 2 Give. Based in Edinburgh, It’s Good 2 Give is a charity that establishes a support system for young people with cancer and their families. Since 2010, they have already raised over £800,000 for local young people and their families. The night’s proceeds will go towards their goal to raise £1 million to fund construction of a respite house for those supported by It’s Good 2 Give, allowing families to use it for a short break together – a purpose-built, restful, safe place.

As VIP guests arrived, canapés were offered and champagne bottles were popped, and the very best-dressed in St Andrews kicked off a phenomenal event. Table guests started pouring in and filling the marquee on Lower College Lawn, taking full advantage of the large treasure chests of mojitos on their tables and commemorating the night with endless selfies with the provided cameras. With a daring new theme this year, inspired by Stanley Kubrick’s “Eyes Wide Shut,” the creative team presented a stunning venue that transported guests to a place between dreams and reality. The décor brought guests to a fantastical place with reflections of the entire venue in massive (and we mean massive) silver globes hanging from the ceiling, beautifully lit trees, and music blasting from an impressive speaker system that kept the party going. And if the gorgeous venue didn’t enthral guests, then surely the various bars and constant flow of bubbles kept them entertained until the show started.

This year, FS2015 finished off another successful Young Designer Award program, the designs of which are showcased on the catwalk alongside the creations of international and award winning British fashion houses, including Hentsch Man and Topman. The winner of this year’s Young Designer Award, Nicole Wells, presented a collection which reminded guests of the impressive talent and work that go into creating the iconic show. The collaboration of the committee, sponsors, designers, and models made the night a massive success, and we offer to everyone congratulations for the masterpiece they created.

FS2015 offered a night that was bigger and better than ever. Opening the marquee to host 1600 guests for the show, and an extra 300 for the after party, Lower College Lawn played host to a massive crowd of party goers from St Andrews and beyond. As the corporate platform that housed sponsor guests from companies such as PWC and Next Step Realty filled and the final guests arrived, DJ Joe Jones turned the music and the lights turned down, and everyone gathered around the massive angular catwalk to cheer on the models as they took to the runway.

No matter where you were in the venue, you were guaranteed a great view of the show. As the models came out, guests felt the intensity of the evening in its fullness. The theme “Eyes Wide Shut” came to life as each model arrived on the catwalk with a gold mask shielding their eyes. With flawless walks and faultless professionalism, the models showed a seriousness that added to the impeccable performance of the show. With everything from high fashion to daring lingerie, the models showcased flawless collections that had guests mesmerized and begging for more. With clothing worthy of runways in Paris and New York and enough champagne to serve a small army, FS2015 kept guests enthralled from start to finish. This energy carried through the auction with guests bidding on clothing, dinners with models, and a coveted table at this year’s St Andrews Charity Oktoberfest.

While guests waited for tables to be cleared out and after party guests started to arrive, things calmed down, but only for a moment. This year, FS presented an after party with a very appropriate theme: Insomnia. Guests quickly refilled their drinks and hit the dance floor as DJ Owen Jones took to the DJ nest above the venue and they stayed ’til the early hours of morning partying with the best St Andrews has to offer.

To say that the show set the bar high is an understatement. Transporting guests from the Bubble to a high-end fashion show in the very centre of town, FS once again outranks all other events on the St Andrews social calendar. The party kept going all night, and as guests took to the streets when the night was over, music from the event could be heard the entire walk home.

  16. One of the main benefits of using an online dispensary in Canada is the convenience it offers. Customers can browse products, place orders, and have them delivered to their doorstep, all from the comfort of their own homes. This is especially useful for those who live in remote areas, or who have mobility issues and find it difficult to travel to a physical dispensary..
